Gerald Greenwald has more than 40 years of business experience, principally in the transportation industry. Prior to founding Greenbriar, Mr. Greenwald was Chairman and CEO of United Airlines for five years and served as Vice Chairman and in other senior positions at Chrysler from 1979 to 1990. Previously, he held a number of positions at Ford Motor Company, including President of Ford Venezuela and Director of Ford Europe. Mr. Greenwald has also held positions as President and Co-CEO of Olympia & York and Managing Director of Dillon Read & Co., Inc., where he concentrated on private equity investments. He received a BA from Princeton University and an MA from Wayne State University. Mr. Greenwald is a Director of Ally Financial Inc., EDAC Technologies Corporation, Ryan Herco Flow Solutions, World Freight Company International and The Aspen Institute. He was also named as an Outstanding Director by the Outstanding Directors Exchange in 2011. Mr. Greenwald is a former Director of Aetna Inc., Align Aerospace, GENCO, Honeywell International Inc, the Reynolds Metal Company, Time Warner Inc. and Western Peterbilt, and former Executive Chairman of Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. (“Electro-Motive Diesel”) and former Chairman of a RAND Corporation Advisory Council.
